Counselor - Aleña Garza
It is my honor to call myself the Banquete Junior High Counselor. I am proud to say that I am a Texas A&M-Kingsville alumni where I received my bachelors degree in mathematics, my masters degree in guidance and counseling and hold a principal certification. I taught secondary math for 12 years and held a counseling position for 19 years (all in Banquete). My husband, Arnold, the head band director at Miller HS and is a TAMUK alumni as well. We have 4 children, Esai 31, Eden 27, Evan 23, and Meela 21. My oldest son attended school TAMUK and works in corporate for a large company, my second son recieved his bachelor's degree from TAMUK and masters degree from University of Texas-Austin, he is a member of the Seattle Symphony Orchestra and teaches at University of Washington, my third son is a student at TAMUK as a music performance major and my daughter is a culinary student at Del Mar College and is a pastry chef at the Omni. Needless to say I am a super proud Mom.
Banquete has a special place in my heart, as well as the people I have met through out the years. I believe all students deserve love and respect at all times.
